Habibul Islam

Assistant Professor

Dr. Habibul Islam is an Assistant Professor (I) in Mathematics, School of Applied Science, KIIT Deemed to be University. He obtained M.Sc (Pure Mathematics) from the University of Calcutta in 2016. He received a Ph.D in Mathematics, specialized in Algebraic Coding Theory from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna in 2021. After completion of Ph.D, he also went to the School of Computer Science, University of St Gallen, Switzerland as a postdoctoral fellow for 2 years. His main research area includes algebraic codes over finite fields/rings, and quantum error-correcting codes. He has been an excellent researcher, and has a credit of publishing more than 30 research papers in reputed journals. He also collaborated and worked with many renowned experts from abroad. He has delivered many research and invited talks at several international conferences held in India and abroad.
