Dr. Prasanta Kumar Das is working as a Associate Professor of Mathematics at KIIT Deemed to be University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Mathematics (1994) from M. P, C. College (Affiliated under Utkal University, Odisha) in India. He obtained his Postgraduate degree in Mathematics (2002) from Khallikote Autonomous College (KAC) (Affiliated under Berhampur University, Odisha) in India. Dr. Das got merit certificate by getting first class first position in Mathematics at KAC. Dr. Das received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Natitional Institute of Technology, Odisha (India) in 2006 under the supervision of the Professor Akrur Behera. After completion of Ph.D., he was appointed to the Department of Mathematics at Seemanta Engineering College (SEC), Jharpokharia (Odisha) in 2006 as a Lecturer and promoted to Senior Lecturer. He joined the KIIT-DU in 2011 as an Associate Professor and promoted to Associate Professor in 2018. The researh work of Dr. Das are variational inequalities, complementarity problems, fixed point theorems on set theory, differential equations, and numerical methods.
Dr. Das has made over 57 publication of International repute and 06 peer reviewed papers. Dr. Das has supervised 08 Ph.D. scholars and 01 M.Sc. student. Current research work of Dr. Das are based on following areas: 1. Variational Inequality Problems using Fractional Calculus 2. Variational Inequality Problems using Summability Theory 3. Numerical Approach to study Variational Inequality Problems 4. Fuzzy Variational Inequality Problems 5. Variational Inequality Problems in various spaces
