Sarbari Acharya

Assistant Professor

Dr. Sarbari Acharya, has been part of the prestigious KIIT-DU since 2018. She is working as Assistant Professor in School of Applied Sciences. She has completed her Ph.D. from Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar in 2017. Her area of research includes nanotechnology and drug delivery for cancer therapy. Besides academics she is actively engaged in research in the filed of cancer therapy. She basically works in formulating different nanoparticles and studying their efficacy and mode of action in wide spectrum of cancer. She has 11 peer reviewed journals and 3 book chapters to her name.Recently she is studying the effect of these formulations in targeting the tumor microenviroment and cancer stem cells which are some of the major reasons for cancer aggressiveness and relapse. She has recently received a project grant from UGC-FRPS for a project entitled “Comparative therapeutic efficacy of different phyto-nanotherapeutics in overcoming drug resistance in breast cancer cells
