Jatin Kumar Sinha

Associate Professor

Jatin K Sinha was born in 1978 in Puri, Odisha. He studied chemistry at Utkal University during 1998-2000 and after that joined IIT Bombay (2000-2002) to pursue his M.tech degree in Mett. Engg. And Mat. Science department. After completing his M.tech degree, he moved to Germany to pursue his Ph.D degree in Surface science and Electrochemistry with Prof Gunter Wittstock at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany. During his Ph.D work, he extensively works with the development of SECM (Scanning Electrochemical Microscope) instrument and its application in localized electrochemical charge transfer reactions. After stays at University of Birmingham as a Marie Curie Fellow (2007-2008) with Prof. Trevor Rayment and University of Southampton as an EPSRC postdoctoral Fellow (2009-2012) with Prof Phil N Bartlett), he moved back to India and joined as a Quick Hire Fellow at IMMT Bhubaneswar until 2017. Currently he is working as an Associate Professor in school of Applied Sciences at KIIT (deemed to be university) since Feb 2018.
