Dr. Swetapadma Praharaj
Associate Professor II
Dr. Swetapadma Praharaj is a materials scientist and researcher specializing in high-performance functional materials. An M.Tech Silver Medalist from NIT Rourkela, she earned her PhD in Physics from KIIT-DU, focusing on the development and optimization of lead-free piezoceramics.
She possesses deep expertise in characterizing material performance via P-E/S-E loops, dielectric studies, and impedance spectroscopy. Her widely published research now spans nanomaterials—including metals, oxides, and carbon composites—targeting critical applications in energy storage (supercapacitors) and electromagnetic shielding. By bridging physics and materials engineering, Dr. Praharaj continues to enhance the figures of merit for next-generation electronic and energy materials.
