Dr. Soumen Dhara

Associate Professor I

Dr. Soumen Dhara received his Ph. D in Physics from IIT Guwahati. Following his Ph. D, he moved to Japan with prestigious ‘JSPS postdoctoral fellowship’ from the Govt. of Japan and worked at Kobe University, Osaka. After this tenure, he continued his research as a senior fellow at, SN Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences; Cambridge University; Cardiff University, United Kingdom; and IISc Bangalore. He has more than 19 years of teaching and research experience, and published more than 42 research articles in high-profile international journals (SCOPUS and SCI indexed) and 4 book chapters to his credit. He also served as an Editor in 2 peer-reviewed book projects (international). He has been awarded two major research projects from JSPS, Govt. of Japan and SERB, Govt. of India.
