Gopal K Pradhan
Associate Professor I
Dr. Gopal K. Pradhan is an Associate Professor of Physics at KIIT School of Applied Sciences, Bhubaneswar. He earned his M.Sc. from Utkal University and Ph.D. from JNCASR, Bangalore. His postdoctoral work includes positions at the University of Texas at Austin, Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris), Luleå University of Technology, and IISc Bangalore. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, using Raman spectroscopy, synchrotron X-ray diffraction, and high-pressure techniques to study low-dimensional and quantum materials, as well as Earth’s deep interior. His work advances understanding of phonons, defects, and energy materials using Raman scattering and related techniques. He actively teaches, mentors students, and contributes to science outreach.
