Dr. Sourav Ghoshal is an Assistant Professor-I in the Department of Chemistry, KIIT Deemed to be University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta, with doctoral research carried out at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, focusing on computational chemistry. His research interests include computational catalysis, materials chemistry, and prebiotic and atmospheric reaction mechanisms, employing first-principles quantum chemical calculations and microkinetic modeling. He has over five years of research experience in the United States (USA) and in India.
