Dr. Tapas Ranjan Sahoo
Associate Professor II
Dr. Tapas Ranjan Sahoo holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the IIT Kanpur and has carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He completed his M.Sc. from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Sahoo has been recognized twice in the World’s Top 2% Scientists list by Stanford University, USA, for consecutive years 2024 and 2025. Over his academic career, he has supervised seven Ph.D. scholars and eight M.Sc. dissertations, and has authored more than 40 reputed research publications. He has earned him several honors, including the Prof Dayanidhi Patnaik Memorial Award for Best Research Paper by the OCS in 2017, and the Most Valuable Paper Award from the Journal of Magnesium and Alloys in 2023.
