Subhasis Samanta
Assistant Professor
Dr. Subhasis Samanta is currently working as an Assistant Professor-I in the Department of Physics, School of Applied Sciences, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar, India. He has 14 years of research experience and more than two years of teaching experience. He completed B. Sc. in physics (hons) in 2007 and M.Sc. in physics in 2009 from University of Calcutta, Kolkata. He completed his Ph.D. in physics in 2017 from University of Calcutta (worked at Bose Institute kolkata). He visited Justus-Liebig University of Giessen, Germany in 2016. In 2017 he joined as a postdoctoral fellow at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He did his second postdoc at Jan Kochanowski University, Kielce, Poland availing ULAM scholarship from Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), Poland. He published more than 36 research articles in peer reviewed journals of international repute. His research field is High Energy Nuclear Physics.
