Tapas Ranjan Sahoo

Associate Professor

Dr. Tapas Ranjan Sahoo, is doctorate in Chemical Sciences by I.I.T. Kanpur, India and postdoctoral fellow at University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He has obtained his M.Sc. degree from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Currently, working as an Associate Professor (II) in Department of Chemistry, School of Applied Sciences, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. He has over 11 years of experience in teaching and administration at KIIT University. During this period, he has guided 4 PhD students and 6 MSc projects. Qualified GATE in Chemistry (2004) with 98.55 Percentile and All India Rank: 48, Dr. Sahoo has also been selected for Professor Dayanidhi Patnaik memorial award for best research paper (2017), by OCS and as Visiting Professor to IIM Indore. Dr. Sahoo's research group mainly focuses on synthesis of Metal Oxide, Mixed Oxide and Rare Earth Metal Oxide nanoparticles and its adsorption and photo catalytic activities for waste water treatment as well as dielectric, magnetic and biological applications.
